ELLIOT CHAPMAN

Catherine's younger brother, who's very fond of these psychic variety shows. Catherine mentions that he was born weak and sickly, rather like Harry, and he's fond of video games and TV - escapism, probably. The real significance of Elliot is that he's probably also telekinetic, although nothing is every conclusively linked to him. He keeps trying to bend a spoon, and Ginori appears to him (the shadowy braided girl on the swing) and encourages him to keep trying - and eventually he's able to present Catherine with a bent spoon, just like Harry's. He's also present when strange psychic events happen - but it's never clear who exactly is deflecting the bullets or strangling people who try to attack him and Catherine - it could be Harry, it could be Ginori - or it could be Elliot, who seems oddly unmoved by the carnage around him. (I guess he was probably the one who killed the two gunman confronting him and Catherine in volume 2.) He's both a mirror for Harry and a glimpse at the future of psychokinetics...
