FAUST - (German) The legendary man who sold his soul to the devil in return for earthly power and riches. The (numerous) legends seem to go back to a calendar-maker named Johann Faust who lived in Heidelberg, Germany in the 16th century. Documents of the time indicate that he was thought to be a necromancer or black magician, and that he must have sold his soul to the devil for his success. The playwright Christopher Marlowe took the legend of Johann Faust, combined it a bit with the stories of Cornelius Agrippa and Dr. John Dee (two other famous occultists) and wrote the play "The Tragicall History of Dr. Faustus (a text)" in 1604. Great stuff, you should check it out if you can.
FAFNIR - (Norse) The son of the magician Hreidmar. He became corrupted by the ring known as Advarinaut, and slew his father to gain the rest of the treasure hoarde. Eventually, his greed made him monstrous in both nature and form, and he became an evil dragon. He was eventually killed by the legendary hero Sigurd.
FARIDOON - (Zoroastrian) A heroic god-king of ancient Iran who lived centuries before Zarathushtra, also known as 'Thraetaona' or 'Fariydun'. He defeated the demon Azi Dahaka and chained him to the mountain Demavand.
FAN-REN - (original) Members of the Taiwanese Mafia, subordinates of Yung Pao. FJALAR - (Norse) (was Fearal) The black rooster in Hel that is supposed to crow on the onset of Ragnarok.

FUUMA KOTAROU - (Japanese) The legendary leader of the Fuuma ninja clan, who were employed by the lords of Odawara, the Houjou family. You can see him in the game Onimusha. ^_~ He apparently lived in the late 16th century, and specialized in guerilla warfare and the invention of new outlandish weapons.
FENRIR - (Norse) Brother to Hel and the Jorgumander, Fenrir was the son of the trickster Loki by the Frost Giantess Angrboda. He had the appearance of an extremely large wolf. He was so large that the Aesir feared him, and had him bound using the fetter Gleipnir. It was at this time Tyr lost his hand to the beast. It is also said Fenrir will break this fetter when Ragnarok begins, and Odin will be swallowed by him.
FUKUROKUJU - (Japanese) Fukurokuju is the god of wisdom, long life, happiness, and prosperity. Like Jurojin, he has a long white beard which symbolises his great wisdom and age. He sometimes carries a staff and scroll which are said to contain all the wisdom in the world, or a turtle, which symbolises longevity.
FUJI-MUSUME - (Japanese) A girl holding a wisteria branch who often appears in nagauta (long epic song with shamisen accompaniment). In Kabuki, she is the spirit of the wisteria flower, given the image of a fascinating beautiful girl.
FUTSU-NO-MITAMA - (Japanese) Also known as Futsu Nushi-no-Kami. Appears in the Nihon-shoki, the oldest chronicles of Japan. A god of swords that was born from a drop of blood shed from the body of the fire god Hi-no-Kagutsuchi when he was killed by Izanagi. Along with Takemikajichi, he subjugated Ashihara no Nakatsukuni (a place).
FUHEDI MERGANE - (Mongolian) A heroic Mongol god. Ordered by his father to go with nine human boys to challenge the demon Mangado, at the very end he defeated Mangado with his own lightning arrow.
FREYR - (Norse) Twin brother to Freyja, Freyr was the son of Njord, the god of wind, and one of the principle gods in the Norse pantheon of gods. He was the god of fertility, had a sword that could swing itself, and rode a golden boar, Golden-Bristles (Gullinbursti).
